AIDAN of Argyll

AIDAN of Argyll. (Edhan, Aidan macGabhran). King of the Scots.
Born about 532 AD; son of Gabhran of Argyll and Ingenach.

He acceded about 574 A.D., and was consecrated by his cousin St. Columbia.

He reigned from 570-604 according to Schmuhl and circa 574 according to Tompsett. He was consecrated by his cousin St. Columba.

He died (after 603)(about 608) A.D. His death date is 604 in Schmuls info, 606 in Hinman and 608 in Tompsetts. (C-332, 2031) He was called "the Treacherous".
