Hugh de Beauchamp

Hugh de Beauchamp.
Born about 950 in Normandie, France; son of Thorold de Pont-Audemer and Wevia de Crepon. (S1).

NOTE: S3 says he is the son of Thorold and his first wife Senfrie de Crepon. (S3). However, this website also confuses Senfrie and Wevia, so the relationship is not clear. The biggest question in this regard is the timeframe.

It is also said that he is the son of Waleran III, Count of Meulan (S4), but the source for this is not clear. This is refuted though, and it is pointed out that the son of Waleran was Hugh de Vernon and not Hugh de Beauchamp. (S5).

He died 1008 in Vieilles Landes, Normandie, France. (S1,S3).
