Malcolm Colquhoun. [Familytree].
Born in 1395 in Dumbarton, Scotland; son of John COLQUHOUN and Jean Erskine. A charter dated 13 NOV 1433 designates him as son and heir apparent of Sir John Cahoon of Luss.

He married about 1418 in Dumbarton, Scotland, but the name of his wife has not been ascertained. It has been said that he married Elizabeth, but this is not documented.

Malcolm was a witness in Ayr.

He was one of the hostages for the ransom of James I. While he was being held ransom, his father died, and so he was unable to succeed to the title of chief. However, Fraser, in Chiefs of Cahoon, says he pre-deceased his father, and that thus the title was passed to his son, John, who succeeded his grandfather as Lord Colquhoun.

. He was killed by MacGregor's (in 1429)(before 1639-S3) in Dumbarton, Scotland, before he could assume title.

Born about 1394.
