Thomas Hyatt and Mary St John

Thomas HYATT III. [PC M2-11].
Born 28 MAR 1650 in Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut; son of Thomas HYATT [F2132] and Elizabeth RUSSELL [F2133]. He was in Norwalk, Connecticut by 1671. On October 21, 1674 he received his portion of his father's estate.

He participated in the "direful swamp fight" of "King Phillip's war," which took place Dec. 29, 1675. (S4). He received land from the town in 1677 for service as a soldier in King Philip's War.

He married Mary St. John [F1067] on 10 NOV 1677 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Thomas died intestate (S3) (about MAR 1698-S2) and the inventory of his estate was presented 28 Mar 1698 (S2,S3) in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. His estate was distributed in 1718. (S3).

The name was usually spelled Sention before 1700.
Born (in 1651-S3)(in 1656-S1)(about 1656 or 1657) at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut; daughter of Matthias ST JOHN [F2134] and Elizabeth [F2135]. She married Thomas HYATT III [F1066] on 10 NOV 1677. She died 17 AUG 1745. (S3).

  3. Millicent HYATT. Born December 6, 1686 in Norwalk, Fairfield, CT. She married Thomas BENEDICT (b. 1682 Norwalk, CT-d.1763 Norwalk), son of John Benedict and Phebe Gregory, in 1705.
  4. [F533]. Sarah HYATT. [PC M2]. Born 6 DEC (1686-S1) 1689 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She married James BENEDICT [F532], son of John Benedict and Phebe Gregory, on 7 APR 1709 in Fairfield, Connecticut. She died 9 FEB 1767 at Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut at age 81 years.
