He married Mary Lanston SLAWSON on 17 October 1815 (1814-S4) at Stanion, Northamptonshire, England.

He died 16 March 1860 at Stanion, Northamptonshire, England. (S4,S7). He was buried 19 March 1860 at Stanion, Northamptonshire, England.

  1. John SPENDLOVE. Born 10 August 1816 in (Stanion-S4)(Corby-S7), Northampton, England. He was christened 25 December 1816 in Stanion, Northampton, England. (S7). He went to Leicester about 1832 to find work and the opportunity to help his younger brothers and sisters. I won't fail, he told his father, and for some 5 years he made his promise good and sent help to them for which the family never fortot his kindness. (S7). John met the lady of his live, Elizabeth Harrison, and a young folks social in 1837 in Humberstone Square. (S7). John married (1) Elizabeth Harrison, daughter of John Harrison and Ann Smith, on 1 February 1838 in Humberston Church, Leicester, England. (S4,S7). Elizabeth Harrison was born 1816 in Whetstone, Leicester, England and was christened 20 October 1816 in Enderby, Leicester, England. She died 3 October 1849 in Monks Kirby, Warwick, England and was buried 4 October 1849 in Whetstone, Leicester, England. He married (2) Maria TOLE. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and emigrated to Utah to be with the saints. They were called to settle southern Utah. John died 2 November 1883 in Virgin, Washington County, Utah (S4,S7); and was buried 5 November 1883 in Virgin, Washington County, Utah.
  2. Edward Spendlove. He was christened on 13 September 1818 in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. He died in November 1883. (S4).
  3. Mary Spendlove. She was christened on 2 July 1820 in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. She married Joseph Harrison. (S4). She died on 30 August 1905. (S4).
  4. William SPENDLOVE. William Spendlove was christened on 19 May 1822 in Kettering, Northampton, England. (S4). He was the first of the family to come to America, on the ship Ellen Maria. He landed in New Orleans on the 6th of April 1852. From there he sailed on a river boat, chartered by the church, up the river to Independence, Missouri, where the wagon trains were being made up to cross the plains. He traveled with the train of immigrants under the command of Abraham A. Smoot, consisting of 31 wagons and 300-400 pioneers. They began the journey in May and reached Salt Lake on the 3rd of September 1852. He was aware that his brothers John and Joseph and their families were planning to come to Utah as soon as possible, and he worked to send money back for them to make the trip. He had said, I loved all my brothers and sisters and I will send back money for them to come after me when I have crossed the plains. He found work helping to build the temple and other church buildings. He married Elizabeth Bell. (S4). He became discouraged and apparently left for the gold fields of California in the spring of 1853 and was not heard from again. He had written to his brother Joseph, I can't send any money now. The church was set up by Joseph Smith, in deed, but the people have gone astray. You had all better stay in England and read your bibles. I am going to the gold fields and you are not to write to me until I can write again. He died in 1865.
  5. Rebecca Spendlove. She was christened on 27 November 1825 in Stanion, Northamptonshire, England. Rebecca married William Collings on 11 August 1850. (S4). She died in 1906. (S4).
  6. Hannah Spendlove. She was christened on 25 February 1827 in Kettering, , Northamptonshire, England. She married Joseph Predmore on 3 September 1838. (S4). She died on 29 January 1905. (S4).
  7. James Spendlove. He was christened on 16 November 1828 in Kettering, , Northamptonshire, England. He died on 12 February 1829. (S4).
  8. James Spendlove. (the second son named James, since the first one had died). Born on 17 March 1830 in Kettering, Northamptponshire, England. (S4). He was christened on 15 August 1830 in Kettering, Northampton, England. James married Elizah Hurd on 22 March 1881. (S6). He died on 16 October 1911. (S4).
  9. [F126]. Joseph William SPENDLOVE. [Chart W4]. He was born 18 December 1832 at Stanion, Northamptonshire, England. (S5,S6). He was christened 20 January 1833 in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. (S4,S5). He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 5 May 1852. A large meeting was held at the home of one of the Saints in Pailton, Leicestershire, Englnad; where there was a branch of the church. After the meeting there were a number of people baptized, among them Joseph and his nephew John (son of Joseph's brother John). (S6). He married Harriet PAYNE, daughter of Cornelieus Payne and Ann Blount, on 7 March 1853 in St. Margarets church, Leicestershire, England. (S4,S5,S6). He married (2) Sarah Catherine Stone. (S5). He died 16 October 1915 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah (S4,S5); and was buried on 20 October 1915 in Littleton Cemetery, Morgan County, Utah. (S5).
  10. Benjamin Spendlove. Born on 2 March 1834 in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. (S4). He married Anne Row. (S4). He died on 5 March 1901. (S4).
  11. Ann Victoria Spendlove. Born on 18 May 1836 at Stanion, Northamptonshire, England. (S4). Born (christened?) on 22 May 1836 in Kettering, Northampton, England. Ann married Leprelete Joseph Hopkins on 16 March 1865. (S4). She died on 20 June 1905.
