Edmund Stafford and Anne of Gloucester

HUSBAND:
Edmund STAFFORD. [CHART A1].
Born on 2 March 1378; son of Hugh de STAFFORD and Philippa de BEAUCHAMP. The Fifth Earl of Stafford. He married Anne of Glouster [1901573], widow of his brother Thomas. He died 10 July 1466 at the battle of Northampton. {S?}.
He was killed fighting with the royalist forces at the Battle of Shrewsbury on 21 July 1403. {S1}.

WIFE:
Anne of Gloucester.
Born in April 1383; the eldest daughter of THOMAS of Woodstock and Eleanor de BOHUN. She married (1) Thomas Stafford, 3rd Earl of Stafford, about 1390. She married (2) Edmund STAFFORD [1901572], brother of Thomas, on 28 June 1398.

About 1405, (before 20 November 1405) Anne married (3) William Bourchier, Count of Eu (d. 1420), and son of son of (Sir) William Bourchier.

Anne died between 16 October 1438 and 24 October 1438; and was buried at Llanthony Priory, Monmouthshire, Wales.

  1. Humphrey STAFFORD. [CHART A1]. 1st Duke of Buckingham (1402 - 1460). He married Anne NEVILLE.
  2. Anne Stafford (1408 - 1432) married Edmund Mortimer, 5th Earl of March, and John Holland, 2nd Duke of Exeter
  3. Phillipa Stafford

  1. Henry Bourchier, Earl of Essex, married Isabel sister of Richard, Duke of York.
  2. Eleanor Bourchier, Duchess of Norfolk, married John Mowbray, 3rd Duke of Norfolk.

  4. Cardinal Thomas Bourchier.
  5. John Bourchier, Baron Berners. John was the grandfather of John, Lord Berners the translator of Froissart.
